From the these-people-have-entirely-too-much-time-on-their-hands department, we have a site devoted entirely to Happy Meal toys handed out by McDonald’s in Japan.
And these people are serious about their hobby!
Their Archives section contains virtually every Japanese McDonald giveaway from 1987 until 2000. There is no word why the collection stops there. One can only imagine that with all of the junk food these people apparantly had to consume, they are probably too fat to reach their computer keyboards.

Hey, don’t you think that saying that amateur Happy Meal historians have too much time on their hands is just a LITTLE bit like the pot calling the kettle black? No? OK, maybe you’re right, but blogs sure are a big productivity killer, don’t you agree?
Have you found that you have less time for translation now that you’ve started your blog? I’ve noticed that whenever I’m feeling lazy I find myself opening up my RSS reader…

To answer your question. . . Yes, blogging is distracting. It’s cut into my golf time more than my translation time.
And I agree. . . RSS is addicting.
