Ready for a Tokyo dining experience that’s different?
Check out the Ninja restaurant in Akasaka.
The entire restaurant is designed in the image of a ninja house, complete with secret passageways. Food is served by “ninja” who also perform magic tricks for diners. The restaurant also prides itself in the unique presentation of its dishes.
Reservations are recommended (03-5157-3936).
And if you can’t get a table at the Ninja, grab a hot dog and a beer and click here.
That is too awesome!

November 6th, 2005 at 8:51 amMy parents would have gotten a kick out of that when they were there last month.
I looked at the website, which makes the whole experience rather enticing, but I didn’t see anything on prices. Is this pretty expensive, or do they realize that not all gaijin (those they say they are catering to) are on corporate expense accounts?
November 6th, 2005 at 11:23 amIs that a Bonsai tree on their menu? Man, I always so wanted to eat that.
November 7th, 2005 at 3:37 amGood for a laugh, but little else. Be warned that they will keep refilling your drink… and charge you for each refill. My check included numerous glasses of Pepsi, totalling about 5,000 yen.
November 7th, 2005 at 11:09 amholy crap! $50 on Pepsi refills? They are sneaky ninja’s ;_;
Although the restaurant it self seems enticing to eat at, I am affraid of the bill
November 8th, 2005 at 12:14 amI actually went to that place during my last trip to Japan. It’s got a nice atmoshphere to it; not too dark, but grim and “ninja-y” enough to keep things fun. But, be warned, if you’re a Westerner, the menu is pretty tough to navigate.
