Members of an Ehime Prefecture junior high school basket ball team, aged 10 to 12, were forced to run naked in the school gym by the team coach.
The 49-year-old-coach reportedly forced the girls to run naked on three occasions during August and September as “punishment.”

According to the latest reports, the coach also hit the girls in the head and some students claimed they were filmed while running naked.
The coach, who is now the ex-coach, denies the accusations.
“I did make them take off their (outer) pants but I did not make them go naked,” the former coach was quoted by the city as saying. “It was to infuse fighting spirit in them to win a competition and I did not consider them as sexual objects.”

The male coach of a sports team at an elementary
school here forced several schoolgirls to run around naked inside the
school’s gymnasium in August as punishment for their attitude, it has been
learned.
After subjecting the girls to the treatment, the coach, a Shikokuchuo
Municipal Government worker, allegedly made
them sit in an upright position without any clothes on while he lectured
them.
He also reportedly hit students on the head
Last month city officials told the Ehime
Prefectural Government that one girl who described the coach as “scary” had
become frightened and was suffering from depression because of the
punishment.
Prefectural and municipal officials have reportedly begun counseling the
students to prevent them from suffering post-traumatic stress disorder.
Shikokuchuo officials said the coach had led the team for several years. In
August this year, he allegedly became infuriated over the attitude of
students to training and made eight fifth- and sixth-year girls at the
elementary school run around naked. His actions were uncovered after several
parents complained to municipal government officials the following month.
The worker has admitted to the allegations, and officials are considering
punishing him by making him run around Ehime Prefecture naked.

November 13th, 2005 at 7:34 amIn #3, punishing that guy by making him run around naked would solve nothing, and I think it’s a case of people missing the point. Only HALF of this is the humiliation the girls suffered by being forced to be naked in public, and perhaps that teacher would feel the same humiliation (if it’s not something he gets off from). But the other half is that the teacher was probably getting his jollies off of watching these ten- and eleven-year-old girls running around naked, and that is perhaps a more serious matter.
People are not stupid, and any educator should know that making students take off their clothes is crossing a line that is not to be crossed.
