Yes, it has come to this: a 50-euro gold Hello Kitty coin designed and minted Monnaire de Paris of France.
The global Japanese icon of cuteness has now made foray into the currency market with gold and silver euro coins. The most expensive one-ounce gold coin is priced at US$1,400 each, compared with a face value of 50 euros.
