Internet porn pricks Japanese condom bubble

The wide availability of porn on Internet sites is seen as the main culprit for flaccid condom sales in Japan. According to the latest data available from the Ministry of Health, domestic shipments have dropped 43 percent to 419 million condoms from a peak of 737 million in 1980.

Industry experts say easy access to pornography is increasing instances of solo sex, since a person using a broadband connection can sit in front of a computer all night and get his charges without incurring extra charges. In addition, fewer of those who do feel a need to team up to steam up are using condoms. This is said to be because porn normally shows people having unprotected sex.

Back in those days, we were posting only one note per day, but as our number of visitors increased, so did our output.
