Hello Kitty - The TV show
Sanrio, creator of Hello Kitty, has announced that The Cute One will soon be appearing in her own TV show with a number of her furry friends in more than 15 countries of Asia, Europe, and North America..
The name of the program is Hello Kitty, Stamp Village, a 26-part series about the adventures of Kitty and her companions in a forest,.
The plan is to target a world market. So the program will be created in an easy format to dub or narrate into foreign languages, Sanrio spokesman Kazuo Tomatsu said.
The series to be done in claymation (clay animation) revolves around Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters including the red-hooded bunny My Melody and the mischievous penguin Bad Badtz-Maru.
You’d think that something like this would have already been done before.
Oooh, Claymation! How I’ve missed it.
February 23rd, 2006 at 6:25 amClaymation! oh wow thats way cool. The last claymation tv show i remember is The trap door or maybe Morph i can’t remember which was more recent. Surely there have been more recent examples that im forgetting though?
Luckily claymation stays alive through newgrounds and the brilliance that is Knox.

February 23rd, 2006 at 8:05 amThere was a Hello Kitty’s Furry Tale Theater back in the 80s, and ADV has been releasing a more modern Japanese version. So I think this is just the first time Hello Kitty’s been done with claymation.
