I can’t believe Japundit almost dissappeared
I was in lectures when that happened i think as i didn’t see anything about it. I would have freaked if Japundit had dissappeared, its one of my favorite sites on the net and is such a great source for info about Japan.
You definetly deserve a holiday Jp, you’ve got a truly amazing site going. It will be sad to see weekend updates go but i mean we are getting 5days of great stuff and you guys deserve the rest.
”Put a hand on their hip or grab a hold of their club” I couldn’t help but chuckle at that lol.
Can i just ask why is it called The Ginza and not just simply Ginza? Other places are simply called Shinjuku, Shibuya etc but why The Ginza?
Another great podcast Jp, keep it up ^_^
April 30th, 2006 at 4:32 amYAY! another great podcast. Whoa…and congrats on the stats. Ewww…Crapman.
April 30th, 2006 at 1:44 pmTom,
April 30th, 2006 at 8:20 pmI think the Ginza USED to be a MINT, where the J govt long ago made or minted coins, money, yen, so the Ginza is the place where THE GINZA MINT was located, so maybe that is why is it called The Ginza by some, even today. But for most old Tokyo residents like me, Sir Edoko, I just say “Ginza” without the the. As in “I’ll meet you tonight in Ginza around 7 pm in front of the Sony building.” I would never say “I will meet you in the Ginza tonight. Most Tokyoites just call the place Ginza, just like Shinjuku, or Shibyua. But technically, the proper name just might be THE GINZA. Who knew?
Yes you deserve a vacation. Don’t overdo it in the future JP, idon’t want this site to shut down
And ofcourse… another great podcast!
