Meet Pandapple

Sanrio, creators of Hello Kitty, have introduced a new character named Pandapple, which is supposed to be a panda wearing an apple hat.
Pandapple loves everything apple and his best friend is a caterpillar named Imomushi. Born in Shanghai, this mischievous, cheerful panda moved to Southern California to live on a fruit farm, and his life goal is to grow the world’s biggest apple.
Hmm, i remember taking an online survey for Sanrio a while back. They were asking opinions on various characters, some that have been around for a long time, and apparenlty some that didn’t exist yet, because i remember Pandapple from that.
In fact, i just found an image i saved from that survey, and the date on the file is December 3rd 2005, though i could have sworn i’d taken the survey way before that. It’s cool to see that they decided to bring out a line of products featuring Pandapple. I think he’s cute.
I also have a bunch of other images from that survey. I wonder if any of the other unfamiliar characters are getting a line of products.
