Luxury loo of Akihabara

The Chiyoda Ward government has opened up a new 90 million-yen, 160-square-meter, single story luxury public toilet in Akihabara.

For just(!) 100 yen per visit, you can go about your business in cleanliness and style. Each toilet is equipped with a heater and washlet, and the walls of the stalls are adorned with touch panel displays that show information about Akihabara.

The men’s and the women’s toilets both are staffed by attendants who are on hand from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the hours that the toilets are open.

I saw something like this in Shinagawa station last week. Very nice!

Wow, Y100 is cheap for a paid toilet! Mind you when I was caught short in Kanazawa, I was able to use the toilet inside a fairly swish hotel without any fuss. Very nice it was too – so nice my body wanted to go again when I thought I was done!

I’d hit it. Do the attendants cover their ears? Or is there some kind of advanced otohime in place?
