Earthquake hits Ishikawa
03/25/2007 @ 10:05 pm

An earthquake has hit Ishikawa, Japan, where officials are saying that one person is dead and more than a hundred are injured. The earthquake measured a magnitude of 6.9 and hit at about 9:40am Sunday.

I think 170+ injuries is a little more than “severa.”

March 26th, 2007 at 6:07 amAgreed. But I haven’t seen one news report that states exactly how many injured there are. More then a hundred but since I don’t have an exact number, I thought several would be most appropriate.
March 26th, 2007 at 6:45 amAh look at that quality Tohoku construction. Seriously though, I feel bad for the family of the deceased and those who have to endure the hospitals.

March 26th, 2007 at 9:27 amIshikawa is in central, not northern, Japan. Generally speaking, it’s part of Chubu. Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures also make up the Hokuriku region, which is why some media are referring to this as a “Hokuriku quake”.
