Researchers say Japanese kids getting fatter…

Reuters is reporting today a study finds that Japanese kids are getting fatter. Not entirely surprising considering the growth of such fast food places as McDonalds and such products as the Mega Mac. (Out of curiousity, is the Mega Mac available in the United States or Europe?)
There have been several reports through the years on the decline of health in Japanese society due to fast food and video games. So its not news per se, but rather a continuing trend of information. Click the link above for the full article.
Yeah, I saw this too. It’s not the first time the warning bell has been rung in regard to this. At the same time, though, I have my doubts that things would get anywhere near as bad as the obesity problem that the US is dealing with.

Seriously, when’s the last time you found a high school girl pretty to look at? Maybe it’s just me getting up in years, but I can’t remember what the whole country saw in them back in the 90s. They got these big daikon legs that they like to show in the winter as if they thought anyone wanted to see…

Yes! I still remember how many Japanese women were dreadfully thin when I was there just a couple of years ago.
