But as Betty said, 10 year olds? I mean it’s definetly better for someone, for lack of a better word, to ‘play’ with one of these dolls rather then rape or pay for the real deal…..but still

I assume some of the people who buy these dolls are hardcore figure Geeks(Otaku). They love beautiful dolls more than real girls. They don’t buy the dolls for the purpose of having sex with the dolls. (In the world of fine art, some artists are producing artistic ones.) The obsession for the　life-size dolls is hard to understand for me. It’s creepy　enough. But if you visit Akihabara in Tokyo, you can see life-size girls (not sex) dolls are displayed in some figure shops.

And some Non-Otaku people who buy the dolls, are those who are enabled to practice normal sex life for some good reasons(I hope). Those people are initially supposed to be main customers for the orient industry. And the rest are perverse people who are just helpless.

Danny, I think the phrase is targeted at Dutch men, along with the expressions “Dutch courage” and “Dutch treat.” If you wonder what the Dutch did to the English to earn these, read Nathaniel’s Nutmeg, about the spice wars in Indonesia a few centuries back. The Dutch were rather nasty colonizers.
