Just in time for the rainy season, making emergency calls during typhoons, or in case of radioactive water flowing around, Fujitsu introduced its new FOMA F704i — a waterproof cell phone.
And it’s loaded with features too. According to Akihabara News, it has the FOMA World Ring (it can be used worldwide), a 1.3 MPx digital camera, the DCMX ID (bank recognition), MP3 player, WMA, and Napster to Go.
They do add that “this baby is completely waterproof but don’t go scuba diving… the maximum depth is three metres but you can now officially take a shower or go to the swimming pool with your cellphone.”
Or drop it in the toilet when you’re off your face.

I think the waterproof phone is a long overdue innovation. It goes everywhere, like a watch – and most watches are water resistant at the very least.
