New from Triumph International Japan: My Chopsticks Bra
11/08/2007 @ 12:00 am
After a relatively long hiatus, lingerie maker Triumph International Japan has finally come out with a new addition to their collection of often hilarious theme undergarments for women.
This time around it is the “My Chopsticks Bra,” which is based on the notion that people in Japan should be encouraged to carry around their own personal chopsticks instead of relying on the disposable kind.
Japanese use an estimated 25 billion pairs (90,000 tons) of disposable chopsticks each year.
The cups of the My Chopsticks Bra are designed in the image of a bowl of rice and a bowl of miso soup, and a set of collapsible chopsticks tuck into either side.

if the food is warm, it can keep the boobs warm aswell.
plus its good for the women selfesteem as it makes their boobs look bigger heh
November 8th, 2007 at 5:45 pmJapan wastes too much in packaging. If I go to Fami-Mart to buy a liter of milk they always give me a straw. I think it has to do with politeness, but I’m always coming back from shops with plastic bags full of unnecessary waste; chop sticks, plastic spoons…
The worse offender though is the cake shops. If you buy say a single cup cake, it already comes wrapped in a display box with bits of decorative cardboard embedded in the cake, plus the cardboard cake tray. So then they stick in a large white box (big enough for four cups cakes), with two chemical ice packs, then they stick the box in a plastic bag to protect the box, and then they stick the plastic bag in one of their luxury designer bags with cord handles, with of course a plastic spoon and a hand wipe.
I know it sounds like I’m exaggerating, but actually I’m not, it’s really is that bad.
November 8th, 2007 at 9:23 pmaye Riki, Japan has a wonderfull recycling system for it though, but the packaging is just terrible. They even pack fresh fruit. Still the packaging looks awesome though
November 8th, 2007 at 10:40 pmI saw a good system in Munich, where customers unwrap all the packaging in the supermarket, before they take it home, and the store has huge bins to separate it all. They even had bins to recycle batteries etc.
November 8th, 2007 at 10:50 pmOnly in Japan. Japan has got to be the biggest recycling country in the world. The chopsticks that are thrown out are easily recycled into other products such as building materials, etc.
November 8th, 2007 at 11:28 pmSounds good, but how do they find the chopsticks to recycle them in the first place?
Also why are they doing a bra add to encourage people to use non-disposable chopsticks if its not a problem?
