Oddly enough, for a brief moment (before I read the caption), I was wondering what a protest against abortions had to do with Japan. And then I wondered what it had to do with whaling. (In other words, I’m tired.)

January 6th, 2008 at 9:00 pmOne thing these groups need to do is get a large number of Japanese people involved too. As long as these movements are perceived as crazy foreigners going nude (almost nude, whatever) for some nutty cause, they will not listen. What would American do if a bunch of Swedish people took up some cause and were very noisy about it? It’d be easy to mock them if it was just the one group, is what I’m saying. These groups should work with Japanese people too, and make sure there are Japanese people being visible, not just “hen na gaijin.”

January 7th, 2008 at 1:56 amRyo, you seriously can’t imagine what a protest against abortion would have to do with Japan? From what I hear, abortion is legal in Japan, and it’s not even a big deal there.
