Do It in Private

I found these signs, all over the Ginza subway line in Tokyo, to be interesting in light of earlier and somewhat debated post on Japundit.

Personally I prefer the one with the guy who’s pouring chips on himself http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalleboo/2437775293/
May 15th, 2008 at 12:39 amOh, I like that one too! I really like the expressions on the people’s faces. They are wonderful.
May 15th, 2008 at 2:53 amI liked the Japan Tobacco advert that said something along the lines of “When I fart in public I worry about who smells it. Why don’t I when I’m smoking?”
Hey, at least this time they actually got “Make-up” right instead of just calling it “make”.
May 15th, 2008 at 8:17 amI liked the
“Please stop telling people what to do and mind yer own flippin business!”
one. :p

Ah, now that would be the day.
I’d be curious to see a sign like THAT in Japan.
May 15th, 2008 at 1:16 pmThose eyelash curlers always look like instruments of torture. I saw a young lady have a terrible accident with one of those that ripped out half of her eyelashes. And that was while she was sitting in front of a dressing table. God knows what the risks are when using them on a moving bus/train.
May 15th, 2008 at 1:58 pmA friend commented to me that these signs should be included in automobiles in the US to discourage drivers from doing makeup while on the road.

there’s no “ouch” factor in my comment. Not unless you work for the ministry of anal-zealots.

Okay. Got it. I thought you were making reference to Marie’s post about parenting skills.
I don’t get the “ministry of anal-zealots” part one bit. (???)

Didn’t see the post about parenting skills. I was referring to these subway signs. They seem a tad overly zealous in their pursuit for harmonious commuting.
