I’m an ex-smoker, and the minute I passed by a Japanese cigarette vending machine for the first time I broke down and bought a pack. I’m weak-willed, I guess. I’m back in the US now and have taken up running instead, and hope the next time I’m in Japan I don’t make the wrong choice again.
The lure of trying flavor balls might just do it, too. Although I’ve never been fond of Menthol.
June 25th, 2008 at 2:15 amIf it makes you feel any better, Dick, the same thing happened to me years ago. I quit in the states but bought a pack the first time I encountered a machine in Japan. I eventually quit for good, though.
